Suction hoses work by creating a pressure differential between the inside of the hose and the surrounding environment, allowing them to draw liquids or gases into the hose. When the pressure inside the hose is lower than the pressure outside, fluid is pushed into the hose due to atmospheric pressure. These hoses are often reinforced to maintain their shape and prevent collapse under the pressure differential.
